marlin mania on day trips from Los suenos

After a good seamount trip, I had the pleasure to ride along and hook a few marlin on day trips from Los Suenos.   There is a lot of debris in the water and some of those logs are holding marlin as good as the seamounts.

On Friday we had 7 blue marlin bites, including hooking a double header blue marlin that stretched out in opposite directions.   We busted off one of those but landed the other.   Plus two more single blue marlin bites through the day for a total of 3 blue marlin releases.   Add 4 jumbo dorado and an 80 pound tuna and we have been gorging on sushi and fish fingers.

We didn't think that we could top that fishing, but the next day we started off by landing a double header of striped marlin.   Shortly thereafter the blues showed up again and we caught 3 more blue marlin, raised 2 more that didn't bite. .....and a nice tuna on the way home.

The weather has been excellent other than the one rain storm that we had do endure while fighting that big tuna yesterday.
