Good times
No money and no trophies, but we had our chances. 50 sailfish bites in 3 days, saw a few marlin but couldn't get them to nibble. Had a really good time.
Congrats to our friends on the Big Oh for 2nd place.

heart surgery
We lost a day, but got it back together, lose screw in the oil pump. Fortunately Capt. Greg and the Tres Amigos stepped up with a blue marlin release and 5 sails for our customers.

much slower this week for us
But signs of a new wave are on the horizon. Only saw 3 sails yesterday on conventional. After three days of fly fishing we were hoping putting a little more meat in the water would raise some more fish. Our fly guys did catch a few, but hope to be able to show the customers arriving this week a little more.

double digits again
We bettered 18, catching 21 on the last day. Our 3 day total was 57 sails out of about 77 bites. Really, really good fishing and we showed a lot of improvement as a team. Hopefully we can get lucky and convert on the last leg of the Los Suenos Triple Crown next month.
Congrats to the Sea Angel who gave us a clinic on Friday. Also Tony with Team Galati for his big win, Fish Tank for an amazing two leg performance and John Bayliss, always a class act who makes me proud to be a Tarheel.
Hopefully these double digit days will continue, they did again today. That's how we refer to really big days, "double digits". Catching a dozen billfish or a dozen big drum in a day is big deal.
Everyone measures success differently and we do not post the details of catches more than a double digit day. No sense in setting unrealistic expectations and holding up the success of one day as a benchmark for someone else.

18 again
It just took a lot more bites to get there. Thank you Capt. James for giving us the opportunity to be competitive. Good time and learning all the time.
Need a big day tomorrow........

Wow. Caught 18 sailfish in one day and only half way to the lead. that is some good fishing and a great day no matter what story the scoreboard tells.
