just getting by.....

handfull of sailfish bites and a couple of jumbo dorado pretty much every day.   We run into the tunas and a marlin about every other day.   Pace seems to be picking up a little.

solar detention

Three days in Solar Detention.   Wow, tough tourney.   We managed to hook some really nice dorado and a few sails, but for us marlin were elusive.  For the charters we had fishing on other boats but not in the tournament caught marlin every day!  Plus sails, tuna and dorado.

Maybe next month in leg 2.

Ladies Tourney

They were in it until the end.  Congrats to the Dragin Fly ladies with 3 sailfish releases and a striped marlin.   Got knocked from 2nd to 6th place right at the end...

Rock Star and Los Suenos Ladies

Busy week this week with billfish tournaments.   We started the weekend in quepos at the Pelagic Rock Star Tournament.   Decent first day, only missing one bite and ending up in 7th place with 8 sailfish releases, only one 300 point marlin bite away from the lead.

We did not see that marlin either day and could only add four sailfish fish to our tally settling into 13th position of 52 boats for the tournament.

New week this week and a new day today with the first Los Suenos Ladies Tournament.  Anna and her gals left this morning looking for those marlin that are now worth 500 points.    The regular series starts on Thursday. Busy week this week with billfish tournaments.   We started the weekend in quepos at the Pelagic Rock Star Tournament.   Decent first day, only missing one bite and ending up in 7th place with 8 sailfish releases, only one 300 point marlin bite away from the lead.
