Congrats to the winners of Leg 1
Could not put it together on the last day and sunk down to about 11th place of 44 boats. Still not a bad three days with more than 50 sailfish releases on the Dragin Fly
Congrats to the Tranquilo for winning the first leg of the Los Suenos Triple Crown Billfish Tournament with an impressive 66 sails and 3 marlin over 3 days.

tough morning
only 4 fish at 1:30 and was able to add a very respectable 15 to it in the last couple of hours. We're still in it and anything can happen.
Congrats to Capt. Bubba Carter on the Tijereta for banging out 35 sails today for the daily prize.

tournament results
We're doing OK, good hook up ratio. With marlin worth 500 points and sails worth 100, we're in the hunt, just one big bite away and two more days to get it.

week report
Tuna bite continues with everyone getting their turn at tugging on a big tuna, plus daily double digit sailsfish shots. Pretty good fishing despite a strong El Nino.

Yesterday's first had report
Started the day with 60 pound tunas eating rubber flying fish dangled from the outriggers. Caught one nice un, pulled a couple off and caught 2 more in the 20-40 pound range. The school scattered and we put out the billfish spread. I made 7 beautiful sancochos (missed sailfish) in a row, but came on strong, ended up catching 8 out of 18 bites. The boat had 30 bites or more and we had a "double digit" day.
